MGT 402 Entrepreneurship focuses on the creation of new ventures: the people, the process and the dynamics. Topics include identifying and evaluating opportunities, success and failure factors, attitudes and characteristics of entrepreneurs, stand-alone and internal corporate ventures, and local and global issues in entrepreneurship. Students can expect to develop a viable business plan in the course.

This course extends the fundamentals of fluid mechanics in a unified framework for the transfer of momentum, heat and mass. There is an emphasis on steady and transient heat conduction, forced convection, and natural convection and radiation accompanied by an introduction to heat exchangers design and mass transfer.

This course is all about fabrication. Students will be able to understand the roles undertaken by engineers with regard to professionalism, health and safety and sustainability. They will be able to apply creative design process with sketches and drawings to communicate ideas clearly. Additionally, they can learn how to manage time and participate in a team work. The course is more practical so the students will learn how to deal with fabrication tools, mechanical and electrical equipment, drilling and cutting wood, steel and plastic. On top of these all, students will learn how to design and preform various types of welding and jointing.

This course, as an intermediate macroeconomics course, is designed to enhance and build on students’ knowledge on classic macroeconomic topics such as inflation, unemployment, and economic growth as well as appropriate fiscal and monetary policies for achieving macroeconomic goals set by governments. The course will provide analytical / theoretical frameworks, such as the aggregate demand & supply model, to study the behavior of macroeconomic variables such as output measured as real GDP, real GDP growth, price level, employment, consumption, and investment in both short and long runs. Effects of technological progress, productivity, and international economic relations on overall macroeconomic performance, including economic growth and development, will also be examined.


The course serves as an introduction allowing the student to master a more complete "understanding" of the characteristics of oil and gas reservoirs, from fluid and rock characteristics through reservoir definition, delineation, classification, development plan, and production.


This is the second part of a two-course capstone design experience in engineering. Building on the results from Design Project 1, students complete the following steps: refinement of prototype, design optimization, fabrication, testing, and evaluation. The final project includes a functioning prototype (or scientific research), oral presentation, written report, and operating manual for the product.

Topics in this course include problem definition, determination of design requirements, and evaluation of alternative design concepts, engineering analysis, and proof-of-concept prototypes. Students participate in design reviews, make a final design presentation, and produce a phase 1 design report.
