This physics course is the lecture component of an integrated lecture-laboratory course on introductory physics for the Medical Laboratory Sciences. The course is a one-semester Algebra-based introduction to Physics where the topics that are covered is particularly beneficial to students of Biological or Health Sciences. Topics covered in the course focus on concepts of importance for the understanding of living systems and analytical tools and equipment used in a medical laboratory environment. Examples of these topics include Solids and Fluids, Vibrations, Waves and Sound, Electromagnetic Waves and Optics, laboratory tools and techniques as well as aspects of Thermal Physics and Quantum Physics.
