This course aims to equip students with the ability to read and write from a critical stance. We will look at how to read “between the lines,” asking ourselves what that phrase means in the different contexts of the argument, the source text, the novel, the poem and even the joke. Using the understanding of argumentation from the previous semester, students will continue developing their analysis skills of literature, defined broadly.
