This course introduces students to American Civics, which covers the rights and obligations of an
citizen in the United States. The course covers American history, the Constitution and Bill of
Rights, the role of government and citizens in American society. Students will gain a broad
exposure to American history, geography, culture, politics, economics, and social life. The course
will conclude with a discussion of America’s role of the world through a consideration of
international treaties and institutions.
