·      This course provides dental students with an understanding of the principles and practices of dental public health and its significance in improving the oral health of communities by promoting oral health and preventing oral diseases at the population level.

·      Students will learn about the social determinants of oral health, oral epidemiology, oral health promotion, and disease prevention strategies.

Students will also examine the role of oral health in the overall health and its impact on quality of life, as well as water fluoridation in communities and access to dental care. The course will cover essential concepts such as community oral health needs assessment, program planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Skill Level: Beginner
