This course aims to develop the proficiency of dental students in performing complex restorative procedures. Students will develop a comprehensive understanding of the principles and techniques involved in clinical operative dentistry. They will learn about advanced restorative materials, cavity preparation design, and the selection and placement of various restorative materials. Students will also gain proficiency in the management of compromised tooth structure, treatment of dental caries, and the restoration of fractured teeth. Under the guidance and supervision of experienced faculty members, students will have the opportunity to apply their knowledge and skills in a clinical setting. They will treat patients requiring restorative dental care, focusing on achieving precise tooth preparation, proper isolation, accurate restoration placement, and occlusal adjustment.
