This course will introduce graphical communication as a tool in documenting the results of an engineering design. This will be achieved through the ability to visualize and understand spatial relationships, and the competence to select and use appropriate graphical methods for representing design concepts. Students combine the practice of hand sketching along with computer-based solid modeling (AutoCAD) to produce a parametric design and professional engineering drawings. At the end of the course, students will be able to prepare working drawings, with appropriate views, dimensions and title blocks.
