The purpose of the course is to introduce students to HRM and its key concepts, understanding the main responsibilities of the HR function. The course examines and places emphasis on recruitment, selection, training, rewards and performance management. The course integrates current discussions around workforce diversity, globalization, wasta and the social environment in the Middle East. This course is designed to help students understand the organizational view of HRM and to critically evaluate the application of HR principles in the local context.
