This course introduces dental students to the study of oral diseases and their 
manifestations in the oral and maxillofacial region. Students will develop an 
understanding of the etiology, pathogenesis, clinical features, and management of 
various oral diseases and disorders. Topics covered include the classification and 
pathogenesis of oral diseases, oral manifestations of systemic diseases, immune
mediated oral diseases, infectious diseases, precancerous lesions, and oral cancer. 
Students will be able to recognize and diagnose oral lesions through the analysis of 
clinical presentation, histopathology, and radiographic findings. The course also 
emphasizes the importance of accurate microscopic examination and histopathological 
interpretation in oral biopsy samples.  

Skill Level: Beginner
