This course provides an introduction to world regional geography, exploring the physical, cultural, economic, and political characteristics that shape major global regions. Students will study themes such as human–environment interaction, globalization, and regional diversity through close examination of regions including Europe, the Middle East, Sub-Saharan Africa, Asia, the Americas, and Oceania. Readings from both academic texts and contemporary works (e.g., World Regional Geography and Tim Marshall’s Prisoners of Geography) help students connect geographic concepts to real-world issues. Assessments include map quizzes, exams, presentations, and written assignments designed to develop geographic literacy, critical thinking, and an understanding of global interconnections
