Organizational Theory and Behavior aims at investigating and understanding the impact that individuals, groups, and organizations culture as well as structure have on behaviour within organizations, for applying such knowledge toward improving the organization’s effectiveness. It is concerned with the study of what people do in an organization and the matters related to employee attitudes, satisfaction, personality, values, work groups, work teams, conflict, leadership power and politics and change management. Drawing from both classical and contemporary organizational theory, this course helps to critically assess organizational issues and propose evidence-based strategies for improving individual and collective outcomes.
