CIV 101 introduces students to the origins and development of human civilizations. The course explores how early societies emerged, developed agriculture and settlements, created systems of government and religion, and built the foundations of organized human life. Students will examine major civilizations and the historical, cultural, and social developments that shaped the world we live in today.
